Spring PROGRAMS

Solid Rock Youth Ministries is a youth center located in Quarryville, PA. We currently offer weekly programs for individuals in kindergarten through 9th grade. At Solid Rock our desire is to minister to families and to journey life with them. Our programs are made possible by a wonderful set of volunteers who care about the spiritual, social, emotional, and academic needs of the students.

Solid Rock’s After School Programs will run all the way into May.  All programs are FREE! Solid Rock Staff will pick up your child for the programs that are immediately following school if they attend Quarryville Elementary; if your child attends a different school they can be dropped off at the center at 4pm.

If there is ever a time that transportation is the only reason a child is unable to come, please contact Solid Rock to discuss possible options and arrangements. We want everyone that wants to come to have the opportunity to attend. A registration form is required in advance. Registration forms should be mailed to Solid Rock Youth Ministries at 34 East State Street Quarryville, PA 17566.

K-3rd and 4th-5th

After School to 5:45 on Mondays for Kindergarten through 3rd grade.

After School to 5:45 on Tuesdays for 4th-5th grade.

Solid Rock provides the opportunity for elementary schoolers to have fun, social time together after a long day at school. The daily schedule includes a snack, group game, and Bible lesson. Afterward, the students will have a group activity or have free time to enjoy all the center has to offer. Activities include: ping pong, pool, foosball, crafts, board games, ga-ga, and more! Our caring staff and volunteers treasure the chance to get to know the students and have fun getting to know them.

Homework Help

After school to 4:45 on Thursdays for Kindergarten through 5th grade.

New this year! The daily schedule will include a quick snack followed by quiet time to work on homework, study, or read. This program will not offer lessons, activities, or free-time. Instead, the focus will be on academics. Our desire is to partner with parents to see their children have success in and out of the classroom.

For Girls Only

6:15-8:15 on Mondays for girls in 6th-9th grade.

Friendships. Clubs. Relationships. Sports. Grades. Family. It is no secret that a young girl in today’s culture has a lot on her mind. For Girls Only is a time to re-center on Christ and the rest he brings. In addition to Bible lessons and activities, the girls have an opportunity to interact with women of faith that are daily committed to making Christ the king of their hearts. Our focus is to provide valuable fellowship away from the distractions of technology that allow genuine and healthy relationships to prosper.

Boys Chill Time

6:15-8:15 on Thursdays for guys in 6th-9th grade.

Today’s media is teaching young boys a thousand lies about what it means to be a man. Boys Chill Time aims to combat some of the deceit of our society by sharing the truths of the gospel through fellowship, mentorship, and Christ-centered activities. Each day includes group games, a Bible lesson, and time to get to know one another. The volunteers have a heart for discipleship and want to see the boys that come through our doors mature socially, emotionally, and spiritually. Together, they will navigate the real world and the real problems they face.
