School Year Programs
All Solid Rock programs are completely FREE! All are invited to come to as many of the programs as they would like.
Solid Rock’s school year programs will start September 24th, 2018 and run all the way into May 2019. For the programs that are immediately following school, Solid Rock Staff will pick up your child from school if they attend Quarryville Elementary. If your child attends a different school, they can be dropped off at the center at 4 pm. If there is ever a time that transportation is the only reason a child is unable to come, please contact Solid Rock to discuss possible options and arrangements. We want everyone who wants to come to have the opportunity to attend.
Below, you will find brief descriptions of our current programs as well as links to our registration forms. If you have any questions or would like any more information, email the Program Director, Corey Alfonso, at email@example.com or call Solid Rock at (717) 786-8007.
If you would like a paper registration form, let us know and we will mail one to you for free, or email a digital version to you.
The 4th-5th Grade After School program is on Tuesdays. Some of the brochures distributed incorrectly state that the 4th-5th grade after school program is on Fridays. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
Elementary After School
Solid Rock provides the opportunity for elementary school children to have fun, social time together after a long day at school. The daily schedule includes a snack, group game, and Bible lesson. Afterward, the students will have a group activity or have free time to enjoy all the center has to offer. Activities include: ping pong, pool, foosball, crafts, board games, ga-ga, and more! Our staff and volunteers treasure the opportunity to get to know the students and have fun with them.
K-3rd Grade: Mondays, after school until 5:45
4th-5th Grade: Tuesdays, after school until 5:45
Now available for 6th-9th Grade!
The daily schedule includes a quick snack followed by quiet time to work on homework, study, or read. Students also have the opportunity to receive individualized help and tutoring from our volunteers. This program doesn't offer our typical activities and free-time. Instead, the focus will be on academics. We at Solid Rock want to partner with you to promote your child’s success in and out of the classroom.
K-5th Grade: Thursdays, after school until 4:45
6th-9th Grade: Thursdays, 3:30 until 4:45
Youth Night is a co-ed program for all students in 6th to 9th grade. Youth Night is a time for young people to come together and experience community, friendship, mentorship, and fun in a Christ-centered context. Youth Night includes group games and free time, as well as a Bible lesson, followed by a time of small group interaction with same-gender peers and Christian adults. Youth Night exists to share the truths of the gospel of grace with young men and women and navigate the joys and hardships of life with them.
6th-9th Grade Boys and Girls: Thursday evenings, 6:15 to 8:15
